A Level

Mathematics is a universal part of human culture. It is the tool and language of commerce, engineering and other sciences. It helps us recognise patterns and to understand the world around us. The generic nature of mathematics means that almost all industries require mathematicians.

  • Mathematics A level students and graduates are in high demand by employers.
  • Maths is the essential transferable component across all science, engineering, technology and maths subjects.
  • Currently 59% of employers state they are having difficulty recruiting people with Mathematics skills.
  • Those with maths A level earn on average around 10% more than those without.

This programme delivered by dedicated tutors at The City of Liverpool College gives you a solid grounding in Mathematics. AS Maths is made up of 3 modules: Core 1 and Core 2 which are Pure Maths modules.

NB: The AS is a freestanding course and can be studied without progresion to the A2.  The AS and A2 wil each take one year to complete at a cost of £500 plus exam fee per year (fees are subject to change). The exam fees for 2016 were AS £48.45 and A2 £48.45, so we would expect these costs to be similar in 2017.

The AS classes will be delivered on a Tuesday evening and the A2 classes will be delivered on a Wednesday evening - please select the corresponding date (AS 12/09/17 and A2 13/09/17) once you have added the course to the basket for purchase.
