City of Liverpool College A-level students are a cut above the rest

City of Liverpool College students have bucked the trend across the country this year with another haul of outstanding A-level results.

The College has seen a year on year growth in success rates across the board, with this year’s pass rates of 99.6%, beating the national average of 97.6%.

The College’s results this year saw an impressive 17 out of 18 subjects achieving a 100% pass rate in STEM subjects, including Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as 100% pass rate in Modern Languages.

College principal, Elaine Bowker, said: “We’re so proud of this year’s A-level students for working incredibly hard and achieving results they deserve. The College has achieved a year-on-year improvement in pass rates, and beating the national average this year is no mean feat.

“We’re extremely proud of the talent that exists in Liverpool City Region and the results these students have achieved is testament to the outstanding teaching quality that we pride ourselves on at The City of Liverpool College.”

Hundreds of 16-18 year olds who studied at the College will receive their GCSE results on Thursday 23 August 2018.
