Completing a personal training course at the City of Liverpool College will enable you to progress your career in the fitness industry at a much faster pace than conventional training courses. Our personal training course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to plan and deliver tailored training programmes that are creative and enjoyable for all, with health and safety at the core. You will complete 4 units within the course using a variety of blended and distance learning. These units will leave you with a wealth of knowledge regarding nutrition advice, training, programming and how to set up a successful personal training business in Liverpool. This incorporates 4 face to face training days and 1 assessment date. You will be provided with your portfolio with every element to ensure you achieve your goals. You will complete 1 multiple choice exam and practical observations on the assessment day.

With an individual learning package and exceptional tutors, you will also gain vital employability skills which will enable you to gain employment once you complete your course. Business and marketing skills will also be incorporated into the course for those wanting to promote and become the next Body Coach!

We set high expectations and aspirations for all our learners on the course and our passion and enthusiasm for fitness will be infectious. All applicants must have:

- a Level 2 Certificate/Diploma in Instructing Fitness/Gym Instructor (essential)

- a passion for fitness
- confidence in working with a variety of clients
- ability to learn independently
- access to the internet and ICT within the home environment
- commitment to achieving their aspirations
- an active membership of a gym or currently working in a gym (proof required)
- good standard of written English and maths – Level 1 equivalent.

Applicants will be expected to undergo an interview prior to enrolment. At interview you will be set a task that includes knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, English and Maths initial assessment and an interview with the team. You will also have a guided tour of the facilities and the student VLE. Applicants must bring proof that they are an active member of a gym or working in a gym. Proof of any other previous qualifications.

PLEASE NOTE:

The fee for this course is £1000.  Please be advised that this course is Advanced Learner Loan eligible which can fully cover the course fee.  

The course runs in the day - 4 x delivery days and 1 assessment day over 6 weeks.
