Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

The Admin Apprentice will:

  • Provide administration support for the College recruitment team.
  • Communicating with applicants, employers and potential apprentices to organise interviews.  This includes; telephone calls, face to face contact and e-mails.
  • Dealing with incoming calls in a timely accurate manner
  • Suppling in depth information around and the recruitment process.
  • Attending events to promote the college.
  • Promoting college courses.
  • Using and updating CRM systems.
  • Supporting the team with additional task when needed.
  •          To be compliant with college cash handling protocols and financial regulations, and work in accordance with these regulations.
  •          To act as a Fire Marshall or First Aider, as required, in the event of an incident
  •          To deliver high standards in customer service at all times’
  •          To actively support and implement  the ‘One College, One Mindset’ initiative
  •          To support key cross college activities such as enrolment, open evenings and recruitment events
  •          To follow college policies and procedures as appropriate and make constructive and proactive contributions to improvements to departmental services
  •          To work flexibly and responsively as part of the wider recruitment team
  •          To carry out such other relevant and appropriate duties within the framework of a post of this grade that may from time to time be required at a location determined by the needs of the service.
  •          To make full use of new technology in all aspects of job requirements
  •          To participate fully in:

            In-service training opportunities which are made available

           The delivery of in-service training to others in the area of specific responsibility

           The college appraisal scheme

 All staff will be expected to:

Take proactive responsibility for Health & Safety to ensure that a safe working environment and safe working practices are maintained at all times.

 Support cross college activities as required in particular the key enrolment and invigilation periods

 

Skills required: 

Essential Job Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience relevant to the role:

  •          Experience of working in a recruitment oriented environment.
  •          Experience and knowledge of customer care procedures.
  •          Good presentation and written communication skills
  •          Ability to use current and emerging  information technology such as Office365, CRM,
  •          Ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative.
  •          Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with all customers in a friendly and efficient manner
  •          Ability to show an understanding of, and commitment to College policies and procedures, particularly equality and diversity.

 

Desirable Job Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience relevant to the role:

  •          Six months experience recruitment focused working environment
  •          Understanding and awareness of an educational environment.
  •          IT related qualification
  •          Ability to answer enquiries using information retrieval systems (i.e. on-line databases)

First aid and/or Fire Marshall training certificate

 

Qualifications required: 

  •          Minimum Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent

Training to be Provided: Level 3 Business Admin with Functional Skills where applicable

Expected Duration: 15 months +
