Employer Description: Truss UK are a Wirral based manufacturer of truss for the entertainment industry and fabricated lifting equipment for the industrial market sector industry. As market leaders in providing trussing products for our customers both within the UK and internationally, Truss UK also manufacture bespoke lifting equipment not only for the entertainment industry, but the industrial lifting sector too.

 We are inviting enthusiastic individuals who are committed to learning new skills and knowledge with the appropriate experience, qualifications and personal qualities to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the list below and there will be additional duties based on individual project requirements.

·         All aspects of metal fabrication and welding

·         Read and interpret engineering drawings

·         Working with hand tools

·         Working with power tools

·         Working with powered machinery

·         All fabrication operations

·         MIG & TIG welding of steel and aluminium products


Qualifications required: Applicants must have at least at a minimum of GCSE Grade 5 or (A-C) above in Maths, English and in either Physics or Technological Studies

Skills required: 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team amongst engineers from other disciplines, as well as the other teams within the business which includes our design engineers and technical sales teams.

Our sales team works hard to keep our manufacturing operation busy so the ability to keep calm under pressure is imperative. On occasion we may need you to be flexible to help meet the needs of the business and ensure our customers are satisfied with their goods.

In any engineering role it is advantageous for candidates to have good manual dexterity and we also require our engineers to have good IT skills to ensure all areas of their role are well managed.


Training to be Provided:Engineering Manufacture: Fabrication and Welding L2 delivered at The City of Liverpool College one day per week (Vauxhall Road site) . The College day included, if needed, Functional Skills in English and Maths
