Course Details

  • This exciting course will prepare you for employment in a Cabin Crew role.
  • This Level 2 qualification will be studied over a full academic year, starting in September.
  • This course is for anyone over 16 years old.
  • You will study in our state of the art Duke Street campus.

What to expect from the course

This exciting course will prepare you for employment in a Cabin Crew role. You will learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the aviation sector.

The programme contains 10 core units which are:
Working as Cabin Crew
Aircraft Emergency Situations
Dealing With Passengers on Board an Aircraft
Cabin Service – Selling Techniques
Making Passenger Announcements on Board an Aircraft
Health and Safety in Aviation
Aviation Security
Aviation Communication
Customer Service in Aviation
Problem Solving in Aviation

You will also get involved in lifesaving activities such as firefighting and emergency evacuations, which also includes aviation medical procedures. As part of the course you will visit the training centre at British Airways.

Academy Restaurant

Duke Street campus is also home to the College’s Academy Restaurant. Often referred to by it’s customers as Liverpool’s hidden gem, the restaurant serves top class cuisine, at highly competitive prices. Food is expertly prepared by professional chef/tutors and young chefs in training and offers students a range of discounts at different times of the year.

When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.

Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite

The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.


Career pathways

On completion of this course, you are prepared for full-time employment in the aviation industry. Successful completion of the course and course hallmarks will enable you to have direct interviews with Cabin Crew International (RyanAir).

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for our courses depend on the specific requirements of each Programme of Study and an individual’s personal experience. The following is a guide as to what you might be expected to achieve to gain entry onto the course.

Entry criteria learners that hold a range of GCSE grades 3 or above and/or level 1 qualifications.
or
Learners that have either one grade 4 in Maths or English

An interest in the topic and good attitude to learning are important to enable you to achieve success on this course.

Fees

If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free.
