We work in partnership with Liverpool City Council to offer an exciting new opportunity to adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. This six-month programme is designed to help adults aged 19-25 with additional learning needs progress into fulfilling careers.

This Supported Internships is for young people wishing to gain roles in Hospitality, this could be in housekeeping, front of house, catering, etc. The work placement is city centre based with Whitbread Premier Inn and is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-life experience and qualifications to support your knowledge and understanding of the needs of this growing industry.

The learner will be supported and taught by COLC staff for the first 5 weeks, attending college 5 days each week. They will get to meet and work with their Job Coach to prepare for their placement.  Once on placement, they will be with their employer, supported by the Job Coach for 4 days each week and attend the College for 1 day a week to continue their academic studies.

This Supported Internship is an ideal opportunity for those who may have an EHCP or those for whom there are barriers to securing employment.

Start Date: Mon 9th September for 25 weeks, learners will have the same half-term/Christmas breaks as main college students.

Come and meet the team, ask questions and find out more about the support available.

If you wish to speak to one of the team, please call 0151 252 3790.
