Students’ Union

When you enrol on a course at The City of Liverpool College, you’ll automatically become a member of the Students’ Union.  This entitles you to join all the Students’ Union gigs and events organised – both on and off campus – throughout the year.

The City of Liverpool College Students’ Union (CoLC SU) is an independent organisation run by students for students. It works in partnerships with the College to ensure students achieve a positive experience during their time with us. The CoLC SU Executive is elected by the students to represent the student body and play a valuable role in ensuring a fantastic student experience, helping student voices be heard.

As part of the work they do, CoLC SU strives to ensure inclusivity and represents student views when in meetings with staff and leaders across the college. They also arrange trips and events throughout the year, run different sports and social clubs, provide funds for student enterprise projects, raise money for good causes and heighten awareness around specific campaigns chosen by the student body.

You can also suggest a club of your own that the team will help you set up.  It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends.  But best of all, it’ll look great on your CV as well as your application to uni!

As a member of the Student’s Union, you’ll also get access to regular exclusive student discounts offered by the NUS and UNiDAYS.

The CoLC SU aims and missions:

  • To provide high quality, relevant student-led enrichment opportunities across college
  • Striving to raise student aspirations and help them to develop, progress and achieve their goals and enhance employability after college
  • Build a sense of community and increase motivation, retention, achievement and enhance students’ overall college experience
  • Meet the needs of students, staff and the overall college aims
